The NC State
College of Management (COM) is ideally positioned to exploit
its core competencies in technology management. Our faculty is involved
in keeping abreast of recent events and how they impact business.
Our courses reflect a strong process and information technology
orientation with a real-world flavor that is unique among program
offerings within the United States. Many of the concentration courses
require students to tackle real problems with SCRC partner company
members.

While
supply chains have been defined in a number of ways, in designing
our consortium we decided on the following definition: A supply
chain encompasses all activities associated with the movement and
transformation of goods from raw materials through to the ultimate
end-customer.
Most
organizations are simultaneously members of many different supply
chains which requires a range of management skills and processes:
Supply chain management is the formal integration and management
of supply chain activities to achieve a sustainable competitive
advantage.
Our program
integrates all of the key processes required, from new product development
to end-of-life strategies.
